The staff was very responsive to all of my questions and needs online and on site. The accommodation were excellent in every way. I vote for a larger coffee pot. That's the only request I'd make.
The grounds are incredible as it's close proximity to the Flaming Gorge is why I came the trails clearly marked. I'll be back someday.
This is the second time my wife and I stayed at the Red Canyon Lodge, both times in October. The first time we stayed in a stand alone cabin, the second time in their Ponderosa cabin, which is more spacious than their stand alone cabins. Both times we stayed there three nights. Both accommodations were in good working order, clean and comfortable. I fly fish but my wife doesn’t. She likes the Red Canyon Lodge because there are hiking trails around the lodge that she uses (with our dog) while I fish. We have been unable to dine at the lodge restaurant yet because it closes for the season in October.
The only negative were the many flies that either awoke from their comatose state once we turned on the heat or entered, somehow, from outside. A fly swatted is provided, and we made good use of it.
We’re planning on staying there again in July when hopefully, a warm cabin won’t attract them inside.
As a side note, we had reservations at the Red Canyon Lodge this July. However, on our drive there, near Manila, I struck a deer that totaled my car. The lodge accepted my situation and did not charge us for the room. They’re nice people.
We had a wonderful time! The views were spectacular!!! We ate at the lodge and our meals were outstanding. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and cozy. The only negative comment is that we couldn't connect to your wifi or get TV but otherwise, it was great. We understand it is currently being worked on. I would highly recommend staying there.
Quiet, serine, a real get away from it all.
We try and stay at least once a year, down to earth management who know how treat their customers. The cabins are very clean and very comfortable. They dont pack you close together and charge you unbelievably high prices with a list of does and donts like some of the neighboring establishments to east and to the west. We simply love this place.
We’ve gone to Red Canyon every year for a family get away during the winter months. Away from the crowds and noise. It’s quiet, peaceful, remote and breathtakingly beautiful. We’ve had a wonderful time-every time. The staff has always been responsive to our needs and requests.
Easy booking, very accommodating and such a cute place to stay, we had an issue with our shower in our original cabin and the maintenance guy was very quick to come check it out and they even upgraded us to a different cabin so they could work on it. Definitely hope to stay again
Love the area and the hosts were excellent! Cozy cabin, everything worked perfectly. Love how close the cabin was to the pond. Would most definitely come back again and again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Red Canyon Lodge. Such a beautiful area and venue! Slight mishap while checking in. However the management were apologetic and were able to work with us and make it right. Greatly appreciate their hard work! Plan on returning next summer!
